Acceptance Policy

At Orchard Grove, our mission is to empower students through tailored educational services with faith based values. Therefore, we believe that every learner deserves personalized support to reach their full potential. Our acceptance policy wants to ensure that applicants are well suited for this type of environment. To be accepted, applicants must abide by the following criteria. 

Our program is open to ages 4 (as of August 1) through eighth grade. 

We reserve the right to pull academic or behavioral records from previous institutions to aid in our decision making.

A shadow day is required to assess the readiness of any applicant into this type of program. It is a time for us to evaluate if applicants will grow and thrive here at Orchard Grove. 

An academic screener on their specific grade level  will be assessed on the shadow day to help us understand your child's academic needs and strengths.  

Applicants will be notified of their acceptance status via email within 1 week of the Shadow Date. Upon acceptance, your resource fee is due to secure your spot at Orchard Grove.

In a Christian educational environment, behavior expectations are often shaped by both the values of the Christian faith and the practical realities of farm life. Here are some key aspects of behavior expectations that we have at Orchard Grove. 

• Students are expected to treat their peers, teachers, and staff with kindness and compassion.
• Students should take responsibility for their actions, both the positive and the negative, and be open to constructive feedback.
• Students are encouraged to show gratitude for the resources they have. This reflects the Christian value of being thankful for God’s provision.
• In a Christian educational environment, prayer and worship are integral. Students may be encouraged to pray or engage in Bible study.
• Students are expected to embody Christian virtues such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in all aspects of learning. 
• Teachers and other staff members are seen as figures of authority who should be respected and obeyed. Their guidance helps maintain both safety and spiritual direction.
• If behavior expectations are not met, there may be disciplinary actions such as dismissal in the tutorial program. 

In summary, the behavior expectations at Orchard Grove are centered on the principles of respect, stewardship, honesty, hard work, safety, and spiritual growth. These values help guide students in their personal development, their relationships with others, and their interaction with God’s creation.

We reserve the right to dismiss any student from the program due to behavioral issues.
